What is my story?

I graduated from Auburn University in December 2017 with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Marketing, but my love for art and design began as soon as I could hold a crayon. I discovered graphic design in high school as the design editor of the newspaper, & with the help of a wonderfully dedicated teacher, was able to recognize the power of words and how they intersect with art to create visual language.

Professional Career:

I have worked for Tidal Wave Auto Spa for one year, and have led several campaigns and initiatives including designing the Brand Guideline, the Graph-X4 rollout, implementing project management processes, and creating asset management.

I worked for Books-A-Million for 3 years and gained a wealth of knowledge from working with merchandise, books, packaging, food, and more.

I enjoy staying active in AIGA and am on the AIGA Birmingham board of directors, serving as the mentorship chair. I was a mentor and mentee in AIGA Atlanta’s mentorship program, and I love connecting and mentoring fellow creatives and really thrive from learning and growing with them.

I am a graphic designer who believes that design can change the world. Design is all around us, and shapes our world. Design and Marketing, when used effectively, not only have the chance to create powerful brands and businesses but also change our very perceptions of the world we live in.

My future goals include: seeing a Caravaggio painting in person, paying off my student loans, owning a house with a greenhouse & chickens, working for NASA, and progressing in my design career to lead a design team as a creative director. I would also like to mentor recent college graduates and other artists who are unsure about how to begin freelancing and need help taking the first steps to success.
